Julep is/was a nail polish subscription. For $19.99 a month you get to choose one of 5 maven style boxes. When you first sign up you take a quiz and based on those answers you are given a certain maven style profile. But don't worry, if you happen not to like your style box for the month you can choose any of the other boxes instead. Recently Julep has added more makeup and skincare products to their lineup. So it isn't solely a nail polish sub anymore. There has been one change since I signed up though. New "Mavens" are not able to skip boxes until they have purchased 6 boxes. Once they have purchased the 6 boxes then they are given "you can skip card". Which is a bummer I think. Older mavens are grandfathered into the old system though. We can still skip every month if we want. You have 5 days ( I think) to decide which box you want AND you have the ability to upgrade your box at an additional cost. For every box you do purchase you get "jules" or reward points. You can then use they "jules" to purchase future boxes or add-on items. Each regular box is worth 300 jules and it takes 2000 jules to get a "free box". The upgraded boxes will of course get you more jules and if you invite friends through your referral link you can earn jules that way as well.
Here'e a quick breakdown on how the boxes will look like for each style.
Classic With A Twist- 2 limited-edition nail colors and one full-size beauty product
Boho Glam- 2 limited-edition nail colors and one full-size beauty product
Bombshell- 2 limited-edition nail colors and one full-size beauty products
It Girl- 3 limited-edition nail colors
Modern Beauty- 2 full-size beauty products.
The upgraded boxes will either be all the nail polishes and the one full-size beauty product or, what I like to call the super upgrade box, which will include all the nail polishes, beauty products and the one or two extra item that goes with the beauty product.
So as you can see the sneak peek is of 2 blushes and 2 bronzers. I'm sure like with past boxes you will be able to choose which one of the 4 you would prefer to have. I"m hoping that they have a contouring brush as an add-on because I'm in need of a good one. I will post what the boxes will be for April once they are up.
